Interview #2

Chris has interview #2 tomorrow at 9:30 for a full time position at Chick-fil-a corporate office. He started working at Chick-fil-a back in Oct. 07 after being self employed for so long.

He LOVES working for Chick-fil-a and even likes getting up early to go to work.

Please keep Chris in your thoughts and prayers tomorrow around 9:30. (daddy, we know you will do great)

Last Day of School

Well we have made it through another year! I LOVED seeing Jordan at school everyday this year. We had an Armed Forces Parade and watched a Black Hawk Helicopter fly over the school and land. Each student got to see the inside of the Black Hawk. This is a picture of Jordan and I watching it take off. Happy Tuesday and only 2 more days and I'm off all SUMMER!!

FIRST GRADE!

Jordan is on his way to 1st grade! He has had such a great year, and it's ALL because of his two great teachers.

THANK YOU MRS. UNDERWOOD AND MRS. CAREY!! YOU ARE THE BEST!

The school had a Kindergarten graduation program this morning and all 4 classes did a great job. It's hard to believe tomorrow is the last day of school. Summer is just around the corner.

WHAT A MONDAY!!

WOW! I'm glad it's over.
Jordan fell off a friends trampoline over the weekend, and we have been thinking he broke his foot.
This morning we went to school to have the nurse look at it and she tells me to get him to the ER soon. So I got a sub to cover my room, and then I get a call from Discovery Point (Jansen's school) saying he is on his death bed. Fever over 103 and needs to be pick up ASAP.

WOW! I can only be in one place at a time. Chris was playing in a golf tournament with his boss, so he was no help. (we love you anyway daddy). Hapa came to the rescue. He picked Jansen up while I took Jordan to the ER.

Jordan had an X-Ray, and everything is OKAY with his foot. (thank goodness, he will be playing in the district baseball playoffs soon)

Now Jansen's turn: The doctor checked him out and he is also okay. Just has a bad cough and a runny nose. Looks like Jansen and I will have a day off tomorrow so he can get better.

Now to a good note: As most of you know Chris started working at Chick-fil-A Corporate back in Oct. and loves it. When he was hired on, he was under Part-Time (working 40 hours a week). His boss came to him Friday telling him he has an interview this Wednesday for a Full Time position (with benefits).
So please think about Chris this Wednesday around 9:00! He loves working for Chick-fil-A Corporate and can't wait to see what they have for him in the future.
Hope you haven't had as busy day as we have. Enjoy you evening and spend time with your family!

Graduation

CONGRATS AUNT PAIGE! Jansen and I went to see Aunt Paige graduate from Mercer University on Saturday! We are so proud of you. Chris and Jordan hated to miss it, but they had a ballgame. Happy Monday!

Garden

We now have a BIG garden thanks to Hema and Hapa. As most of you know we live on 10 BEAUTIFUL open acres and Hema and Hapa have 10 acres across the street. They decided we ALL needed a garden so here are a few pictures of the boys helping work in the garden. The boys had so much fun helping with this. Have a great Thursday!

Field Day!

Yesterday was Field Day at school and Jordan had so much fun. He ran in several events and won them all. He is so fast. I love having Jordan at school with me. Chris got to leave work early yesterday to come and watch Jordan, and Chris loved seeing Jordan in action. It's hard to believe but we only have 6 days of school left! Summer is right around the corner!

HAPPY FRIDAY!

Happy Friday!

What a busy stressful week we have had.

As most of you know Jansen has been receiving speech and language services through the states Early Intervention Program.

Well, this will end this summer because he will be turning 3. On Monday he came to my school and the county evaluated him. They were amazed at how well he did. I am so excited but frustrated too. Chris and I are trying to get Jansen an IEP (Individualized Education Program) for hearing impaired and secondary speech and language. We feel he is doing so well because he has been receiving speech services for so long. (sorry about this, but I needed to vent)
The bottom line with all this is: Chris and I want the county to take over his speech and langauge services until we know 100% everything will be fine with his speech. This will not be an easy task since he is currently doing so well.
Jansen is starting to wear the hearing aid more and more each day, but he still doesn't ask to wear it. I hope that will happen soon.

Jordan had "Move Up Day" today and got to visit a 1st grade class. Not sure how it happened but his class came to my room. He was a mess while I was teaching a lesson to them. Thank goodness he can't be in my room next year. It will be a fun year with him in 1st grade and me teaching 1st grade. (I hope we make it through the year)

HAPPY MOTHER'S Day to ALL the GREAT MOMS OUT THERE!
