Counting down....

Chris and I are VERY excited about our upcoming trip. We will be leaving in two weeks to go to the sunny state of California. We are flying into LA, and staying in Long Beach. I have never been to California and I'm finding myself counting down until we leave.
Okay, back to reality.. It's not a vacation. It's for the Chick-fil-A Operators Seminar. Yes, we will be working most of the week, but we will get some free time. (no kids) Chris and I will be attending the Seminar and working in the warehouse. We will be meeting a lot of new people that work for the great company of Chick-fil-a, and listening to some great speakers.

I do know that we get to go out to eat twice while we are there and visit the beach. One day we will be visiting Catalina Island.
Happy Friday!

Have you ever.........

had these in your backyard?
Sorry about the picture, but the other night the boys were outside and all of a sudden I heard them crying. (I thought someone was hurt)
I go outside to this. We had cows in our back field. I told the boys to calm down and I would go call the neighbors so that they can come get them. About five minutes later Mr. Brown came to get his cows back.
This has happened before so I wasn't to concerned. The cow farm backs up to our neighbors 20 plus acres and they made their way to the Kentys house. The boys had fun watching them run back to their house. I'm sure this will happen again. I thought some of you city people would get a laugh out of this.

Over view of our week:

The Kenty's have had a restful week. We enjoyed the day off Monday sitting by the fire and not getting out of our PJ's. ( I love these days)

Chris left to go out of town Wednesday with three friends from work. They left Wednesday morning at 3:30 am for the long drive to Dallas, Tx. They are staying at Uncle Sterling's Ranch (camp) until Sunday where they are hunting every minute of the day. I think they are hunting for duck (not sure, can you tell hunting is not for me) I hope they are having fun and enjoying guy time. The boys and I miss you daddy and can't wait to see you Sunday.

Last night we had baseball practice at the batting cages, and the boys did good. Jansen got to practice with the team for a little while. Thanks Coach Ricky for letting Jansen practice.

As we were leaving a man came up to me ( I didn't know him) and asked about Jansen. He asked how old he was(3), how tall his daddy was(6'1), and was he really a lefty(yes). I answered all the mans questions and was shocked at first but then caught on to what he was talking about. He had watched Jansen practicing ball and he was so amazed at his talent for a 3 year old.

He then asked me if he was playing ball? I said yes, and Jansen talks about ball 24/7. He then said that boy is good and you need to keep him in ball because he is going to be a good pitcher one day. I told the man thank you and yes he is going to play ball. I didn't think twice about it until I got home. Chris and I know that Jansen LOVES ball, but I didn't know he was that good. It was an odd situation.

Jansen will be playing Pre-T and Chris and I are afraid he will hurt someone with his strong arm and bat skills.

Jordan still loves baseball and has a practice game tomorrow at 1:00 and will be playing in a tournament in March. I love Spring time and watching my boys playing ball.

Have a great weekend!

Reading by the fire

The boys and I love sitting by the fire reading a good book. Last week we had a fire every night and to me their is nothing better than curling up with a good book by the fire.

It happened......

It finally happened Saturday night. Jordan and Jansen were playing around with a straw and Jansen went to pull it out of Jordan's mouth and out came his tooth. This is Jordan first tooth. He was a little scared at first, but was excited about the tooth fairy coming.

It's Baseball Time!

The Kenty's are all signed up and ready for baseball. Jordan will continue to play on the Cardinals with all his friends, and this will be Jansen's 1st season. (yes he is 3, but we are starting him early since he is ready). They are both excited, but Jansen is a little over the top about it. He is going to be a good little ball player. He practice the other night with the 7/8 team and did a great job. Here is a picture of the boys after practice with Coach James at the batting cages.
It will be very interesting trying to work around two schedules. Chris is excited about coaching both teams.
