I am sitting in Long Beach enjoying the great view of the ocean from our hotel room. Chris and I are really enjoying the operators seminar and meeting a lot of new people. There are about 3500 people at the seminar this year. Wow! What a great company Chris works for. We are so blessed to be a part of all of this. We have had two great general sessions. We have heard from great speakers such as:
Dan Cathy, Dr. Charles Carter, Truett Cathy, Mark M., Tim T., Jim Collins, Bubba Cathy, Kirk Cameron (he looks great in person), Tommy Tuberville, VT Coach, and tomorrow we will hear from Dave Ramsey and many more. We are learning a lot. The sessions are from 8-12:30 daily. Last night (Monday) we took a road trip with some friends to Hollywood and had a great time. Tomorrow we are running/walking in a race . This should be fun for all of us. I am worrying about the weather since it has been raining and in the low 60s. But it will be fun. The time difference is starting to get to me. I have been drinking a lot of coffee to stay awake. Chris and I have been talking about how tired we will be this weekend, but can't stop because Jordan and the Cardinals are playing in a tournament all weekend in Peachtree City. So much for a week off and catching up on sleep. That's alright, this seminar is all worth it. Since this is our first seminar Chris and I aren't having to work as much as the others. They want us to take it ALL in and enjoy ourselves. Have a great week and I hope to post pictures when we get home.

Praying for Abby!
Happy Friday! I have added a link to a family that is in need of our prayers. Here is a little history about Abby. Please take a few minutes to visit their blog and say a little pray for little Abby.
This post has been created to allow people who don't know about Abby to catch up.
Abby is four years old. We adopted her from Guatemala when she was six months old.
In July 2008, three years old, she was diagnosed with a high risk, aggressive form of Leukemia. Over the months, her prognosis has worsened as other complications and conditions became know.
We thank you for taking time to learn more about her, and even more, for your prayers.

My Boys
Yesterday Jordan and I left school early to take Jansen to the Dr. We first stopped by
Chick-fil-A corporate to have a yummy lunch with Chris and Jansen. We enjoyed yummy salmon, salad, fresh fruit, pizza, chicken sandwiches, and yummy cookies. Okay, I didn't eat all of this but it was all on the menu today. Then me and the boys headed to Scottish Rite for our appointments. We met with LS first the audiologist. The boys played while we talked about Jansen and how things were going.
She then starting checking his ear(right), and couldn't get a reading. It was showing a flat straight line(which it shouldn't be this way) I of course starting panicking. She tried a second time and now I'm trying not to cry. So we decided we needed to see the Dr. first to see what was going on.
Dr. N gets us back ASAP, and starts cleaning his ear. Jansen had a lot of wax, and the tube was making its way out. Dr. N took the tube out and said to me oh, no we have a problem(I panic), Jansen has a lot of fluid on his ear drum. We need to get this taken care of and he needs to be on meds for 10 days and we need to talk about another tube and Adenoids coming out. I agreed and we headed back to LS (audiologist) for more test.
Jansen did a good job following directions in the booth for Ms. L. The testing is showing a flat line still and a mild low frequency loss in his right ear, his little ear still shows that the nerve is working. As I try not to cry at this point Ms. L tells me this is normal when a child has fluid on the ear drum. So I was fine with this.
Then we go back to see Dr. N and discuss everything. He tell me everything is good and normal we just have to get the fluid cleared up and taking care of. We will go back in five weeks to see how things are looking and have an updated hearing test. At this appointment we will talk about putting another tube in to keep his "good ear" good. I honestly feel we will get another tube put in once this all clears up. We can't take chances with his right ear. Jansen is having a hard time hearing right now, but once this med get in him I think we will start to see a difference.
Jansen was so excited about getting meds, put doesn't act sick. I would have never known he had an infection if we weren't at the Dr.
I know this is long but wanted to keep everyone up to date with our family.
Thanks Jordan for being a big brother at the Dr.

Weekend Recap...
Jordan loves playing his DS. Here he is getting ready for his practice game.
I can't believe ball season is right around the corner. We had a great practice Friday night at the cages and a practice game Saturday. All the boys did a great job during the game. We enjoyed a great dinner with the Collins after the game. Thanks Ricky and Christy for a great dinner, and we love your new house.
Sunday we cleaned the house top to bottom. Thanks to my wonderful husband for getting me up and moving so the house would be clean for the week. Chris and the boys cleaned the upstairs and did a great job. THANKS BOYS!!
Please think about us on Wednesday at 2:00! Jansen is going to the ENT for a check-up and a hearing test. We visit with the ENT every 6 months and I always get a little nervous before the hearing test. Jansen continues to meet all his developmental milestones, and is such a DADDY'S BOY!
Have a great Tuesday!
