ATLANTA..
As most of you know I hate driving in the Atlanta traffic. Since Jansen's 1st surgery 3 weeks ago, I have been to Atlanta 6 times including today. Jansen and I had to make another trip to Dr. Jones, because he started breaking out in a rash Saturday and today it just seemed to get worse. The rash is from head to toe, and we have no idea why. It has nothing to do with his ear, but Dr. Jones needed to look him over to make sure we were okay with surgery tomorrow. Surgery will go ahead like planned tomorrow.
Arrival 7:15
Surgery 9:15
I talked to Dr. Jones today about what all they will be doing tomorrow. They will be cutting a little place above his ear (where the sore is) and pushing the skin over to fill in where the cartilage is splitting. Then they will do a skin graft in his groin area to fill in where they cut behind his ear. The surgery will be about 2 hrs. long . Jansen will be wearing the head netting for at least the next 6 days. We are praying for a successful skin graft and quick recovery time.
We will have post-op on Monday, December 13.
(ear at 3 weeks post surgery 1)
We are loving the new ear. We are so impressed on how well it looks after only 3 weeks.
All these surgeries don't seem to bother this little guy.

You will be amazed how much better he does than you do! FYI, in stage 3(?) we had a groin graft and it was the easiet one to recover from and seemed to be the least amount of discomfort. Hope that can encourage you.
Our preacher spoke on John 9 yesterday and reminded me what a source of comfort that was for me when Hardin was born with microtia. So glad you are giving this over to God and letting him be glorified by your example and faith. Love to you all and special prayers tonight for all of you.
His ear is looking fantastic! I bet you won't even be able to tell once the sutures come out. Greyson goes for stage 3 next week. We go Monday for prep and then will stay in ATL for surgery Wednesday. I was thinking hip/booty for graft but groin. You are so right about trying to keep then sedate for weeks afterwards. Ugh! I will be thinking about you in the morning!!
